Today, data management can mean anywhere from 5 to 9 or more separate tools, multiple people to manage them, and lots of time to do the work. Data teams are being asked to be more versatile than ever before. More than ever, we are taking a broad, non-specific approach to specific problems. If we decide we don’t want to do that, the only other option is to do it ourselves as operators with an acute understanding of what we need to accomplish. Both of these solutions require large investments of human, time, and financial capital. The cost is extremely high for the quality of solution we’re rewarded with.
In a recent poll - Intelligent Automation, Analytics, and Workflow management were the three top priorities for OpEx in the US. This speaks directly to the pain that we all have.
